Women’s Bible Study

All are Welcome!

Women’s Bible Study is lay-led and meets in Grace House every other Wednesday. We begin with coffee, tea and socializing from 8:45 – 9:00 a.m. and follow with Bible Study from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. Meeting dates this month are August 14 and 28.

Discussions are based on the upcoming Sunday lectionary. Rector Kim Glenn is a regular participant, offering theological insight and historical context to the readings. All women, not just those attending Grace Church, are welcome. Regular attendance is not required, and there is no dress code! Bring a friend and come as often as you’d like.
We hope you’ll join us.

I started attending Women’s Bible Study shortly after I began attending Grace in the fall of 2023.  I instantly met and got to know a core group of women of Grace.  They were welcoming, care deeply about each other, and share joys and worries and their histories of church involvement from all walks of faith.  Most are well educated about the Bible already, but it spurs good discussions to have questions about what we read.  The Sunday sermons mean more after our preview discussions, and it is fun to see what the pastors choose to emphasize from the lectionary readings.  Finally, we always discuss prayer requests, so we find out what is on people’s minds, who is in need, and get real help with current problems by prayers for each other through our time apart.  I think of the group as my “Bible Buddies.”  Beth
